The Willowcraft Team

Brian Russell (that's me.)

I thought I'd be a civil engineer but plans changed when my mutinous hobbies of photography, studio music recording, and travel all converged into a passion for video production. Now, after a little film school and a degree in International Media Production from Western Washington University, this crazy experiment of making wedding films is taking off.

Fred Sprinkle

Fred puts food on the table doing freelance design and database management while moonlighting as a documentary filmmaker with Hands on Films in Anacortes, WA.

Kayla Soper

Kayla is an up-and-coming wedding photographer who can do more with a single 24mm lens than most can with a full kit. She's got a keen eye for composition and her Design degree agrees with me. She's good.

Tony Nguyen

Tony has the smoothest moves I've ever seen. Give this man a tripod and he'll turn over pans so fluid they're downright buttery. We'll try to keep him as long as we can but he's studying pharmacy to launch his "other" career.

Alan Hussey

Like Batman, Alan is a white male without any discernible superpowers. Unlike Batman, he is studying Graphic Design at Western Washington University. He's my constant inspiration to push for new technical challenges. (Our current goal is to somehow put panoramic 3D HDR video on a t-shirt.)

Joshua Burdick

Joshua studied at Trinity Western University and then at Pull Focus Film School in Vancouver. He chased those with an internship at a TV studio in Ottawa. He's my go-to guy when we have to edit fast.

Every one of our weddings is filmed by myself (Brian) and one of the assistants above.
